A few photos from Peterborough and a couple of others showing some royal visitors!

The climax of the hound show was, as ever, the Two Couple Entered Bitch Hounds. One of the most competitive classes in recent years with twenty-one entries. The standard was extremely high - the class was won by the Worcester, second place to the Beaufort and with the Cotswold in Third! The bitches in question were Policy, Sally, Sanity and Savoury.

Cloud Hill Meet - 15th January
A very good days hunting was experienced on Saturday despite the very foggy conditions which were with us until mid afternoon. Unfortunately pictures of fog, whilst easy to take are all somewhat similar so I am afraid that that all pictures are confined to the meet plus the odd occasion when I managed to see something other than a white haze.

Lower Dean Manor - 8th January
A fine meet meet and a busy days hunting was had on Saturday. Unfortunately hounds evaded the camera for much of the day but I have still got some photos and thank you to those which sent others into me.

Appointment of Huntsman - Season 2005/6

The Masters have appointed Christopher Cardall as Huntsman, Chris is 36yrs old and is currently huntsman to the Curre and Llangibby (a difficult trappy and wild country needing skill and ingenuity to show sport) having previously hunted the Ross Harriers for 3 seasons, Kennel Huntsman at the Portman (3 seasons), First Whipper-in at the Grafton (1 season), First Whipper-in with the Worcestershire (3 seasons), Whipper-in at the Thurlow (2 seasons) and started hunt service with the York and Ainsty North as Kennelman (3 seasons).

Chris and his partner of long standing Emma will be moving to the Kennels on May 1st 05 and I am sure like me you will make them most welcome.
